Terms of Service

By accessing or using ShowUp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this application.

ShowUp is a mobile application that enables you to:

• Create and manage events with dates, times, and locations
• Create and manage groups with other users
• Send direct messages and participate in group/event chats
• Share photos in galleries and chat messages
• Invite contacts to join ShowUp via SMS
• RSVP to events and manage your participation

• A valid phone number is required for registration
• You will verify your phone number via SMS code
• One account is permitted per phone number
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must provide accurate profile information
• You must be at least 13 years old to use ShowUp

You retain ownership of any content you submit to ShowUp, including:

• Profile pictures and avatars
• Event cover photos, descriptions, and gallery images
• Group avatars, descriptions, and gallery images
• Chat messages and attached images

By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content within the app to provide our services. You are solely responsible for the content you post.

ShowUp uses role-based permissions:

Groups: Super Admin, Admin, and Member roles
Events: Host, Admin, and Participant roles

• Hosts and Super Admins can delete groups/events
• Admins can manage members and content
• Leaving a group or event removes your access to that content
• Removed members lose access to group/event content

• When you invite contacts, SMS messages may be sent on your behalf
• You may receive push notifications for events, messages, and invitations
• You can manage notification preferences in app settings
• You can mute or pin individual chats

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Send spam or unsolicited messages
• Upload inappropriate, illegal, or offensive images
• Create fake or misleading events or groups
• Impersonate other users
• Misuse the contact invite system
• Share others' personal information without consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the app

ShowUp integrates with third-party services:

• Google Maps/Places for location services
• Firebase for data storage, authentication, and messaging

Your use of ShowUp is also subject to the terms of these service providers.

The ShowUp name, logo, and application design are owned by Juntos INC. You retain ownership of your user-generated content. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the ShowUp application without our express permission.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may also request account deletion by contacting support@showup-app.io.

ShowUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of users or the content they post. We are not responsible for events organized through the app or any outcomes of those events.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Juntos INC. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of ShowUp, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage related to events organized through the app.

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Your continued use of ShowUp after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
